Photoshop… Lately, it has become a kind of miracle cure for celebrities who appear on countless magazine covers, ad posters, and whatnot. With some limits airbrushing has nothing negative actually. But when magazine editors use it in an excessive way, they call for public indignation and also cover a lot of editing like that Photoshopped Cover girls.

So did Women’s Health magazine with its December issue. It’s clear that this glossy has to promote health and well-being – adequate healthy life on default! But its December issue with Amber Heard on the cover is blasted for heavy airbrushing the Rum Diary star’s body with simultaneously roaring about her ‘sexy curves. Some bloggers noted her abs side looks ‘strangely whittled’, specifically if to compare to behind-the-scenes snaps of the photo shoot. The 25-year-old spoke to Women’s Health about her fitness regime and said that she practices Pilates, jogging, and plays tennis to keep in shape.

I am a firm believer that you can have the body you want, only to the extent that you’re willing to work for it.”

As for her nutrition, she commented:Too Much Photoshopped Cover girls

You feel better when you’re eating food that retains nutritional value.”

But it seems the natural results of her tough regime were not convenient for the editors and they carried out that Photoshop job going too far with it. Apparently, Women’s Health magazine doesn’t think Amber Heard needs ribs or internal organs. However, Women’s Health denied that Heard’s abdomen has been digitally altered. Michele Promaulayko, president and Editor-Chief of Women’s Health commented: Too Much Photoshopped Cover girls2 Too Much Photoshopped Cover girls

We did not Photoshop the image to make her look thinner. These are her real proportions. We choose cover stars who are fit and healthy. Amber exemplifies that.”

Watch the following video showing photoshoots behind-the-scenes snaps. Amber Heard looks pretty okay, toned up but not so scooped out as on the cover of the magazine.

Here are other examples of overzealous Photoshop jobs for different magazines and ad campaigns:
